We had a really great AGM last week! Lisa, Michelle and Peter were re- elected in their roles as Chair, Secretary and Treasurer because they are such an awesome team! Aswell as everyone else carrying on with the other roles which make up our committee (Avertising, graphic design, social media, event planning and all the jobs in between).
The Friends commitee have done such a wonderful job of keeping going throughout this challenging and strange year. Along with our VERY successful events we had before Christmas last year (quiz night, disco and Christmas Fayre), it has been a successful year with fundraising despite Covid! Of course our social events have suffered this year for obvious reasons and discussed that we were very much looking forward to starting them again once it is safe to do so, because we know just how important social events are for our families.
Lana and Nikki have done an amazing job and put so much effort into Covid safe online fundraising this school term, which will be ongoing projects head over to Lana’s Raffles Facebook page!
Adrian thanked everyone for their hard work and reminded us just how important the work that the Friends so, not only fundraising but for organising social events such as the family funday (summer) to enable to get families together. We are a really great supportive and strong commitee
New events/ideas/thoughts in the pipeline for the New Year
- Virtual events such as bingo, quiz night, virtual races
- Ongoing online Raffles
- Looking ahead to possible socially distanced events much further down the line when it is safe to do so
- Student tea towels /mugs etc.
